We explain in simple terms what we collect about you on Swingers.Guide, why we do it, and how we protect you.
Who we are
Swingers.Guide is operated by Pixel Industries Ltd, a UK company, part of the IOL network. For any privacy request write to privacy@iol.im — we reply within 30 days.
What we collect
- If you only browse: your IP (anonymised), the browser you use, the pages you visit and how long you stay. This helps us understand which articles work and what to improve. We do this with Google Analytics.
- If you comment on an article: we ask for your name and email. Your email is never public — it only serves to show your avatar (if you have a Gravatar) and to remember you for future comments.
- If you write via the contact form: we receive your name, email and message. We use them to reply to you, nothing more.
What we do NOT do
To be clear about what does not happen on our blog:
- We never sell your data to anyone.
- We don’t use Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or other social pixels to track you.
- We don’t do advertising retargeting.
- We don’t share comments with external anti-spam services (we handle that internally).
- We don’t collect sensitive data beyond what you voluntarily give us.
Who sees your data
We work with three external services:
- Hostinger (EU) — provides the servers where the site runs.
- Google — for Analytics and Search Console (we only see aggregated data, not profiled per single user).
- Gravatar — only if you have a Gravatar account, your avatar is loaded in comments.
How long we keep your data
- Hostinger technical logs: about 30 days.
- Google Analytics statistics: 14 months.
- Comments: as long as the article is online, or until you ask us to remove them.
- Contact form messages: 2 years, then deleted.
Your rights
You can always ask us to: see what data we hold about you; correct or delete it; stop processing it for certain purposes; export it in a readable format; or lodge a complaint with your data protection authority if you think something’s wrong. Just write to privacy@iol.im.
Adults only
This site is for adults. Before entering we ask you to confirm your age. If we notice that minors have left any data, we delete it immediately.
If we change anything
We update this page when needed. If a change is important, we’ll notify you with a banner on the site. For technical details about cookies, see the Cookie Policy.
